What to drink whilst reading The Secret Garden

December 8, 2016

Inspired by a gin tasting at Majestic last week, I'll be posting 2 books to enjoy with gin this week.

My second gin of the week is the Warner Edwards Victoria's Rhubarb Gin. This fruity gin is made from a crop of rhubarb originally grown in the kitchen garden at Buckingham Palace during Victoria's reign.

This story instantly reminded me of The Secret Garden, a story I have cherished since childhood.

Re-reading your childhood favourites is a delight and something I always recommend making time for. This time, though, enjoy it with a more grown up drink!

We tried the rhubarb gin with ginger ale, garnished with a slice of fresh ginger, and I fell in love with it! Try it at home and transport yourself to the garden in Yorkshire whilst you do.
