What to drink whilst reading Hercule Poirot's Christmas

December 22, 2016

As Christmas draws near, it always seems appropriate to turn to Agatha Christie for cosy afternoon entertainment. Hercule Poirot's Christmas is particularly intriguing as it brings together an entire family and a murder that seems to revolve around a small piece of rubber. This requires a drink that you can sip and savour, whilst enjoying some festive flair.

A sloe gin fizz is a firm Christmas morning family favourite, but there's no reason not to enjoy this in the run up to Christmas with some mystery and intrigue.

Simply add a small amount of your preferred sloe gin (extra points if you made your own!) to a flute glass and top with prosecco for something sweet or cava if you prefer something more dry.

If you're wrapping presents or getting ready for the big day, enjoy the radio dramatisation of Hercule Poirot's Christmas and tipple while you work!
